Job Description - Store Manager:
Foreign Affair is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee our selling floor and sales team. The ideal candidate has a retail management background, enjoys taking on a leadership role, is self motivated and enjoys working with others. At Foreign Affair a love and appreciation of quality-based fashion is also a must as it is the basis of our business!
In this role, you will work directly with the store owner while overseeing the selling floor. You will oversee the daily operations, manage and motivate staff, set out to surpass sales targets and maintain merchandising standards. Store Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Analyze sales data and trends to forecast performance and maximize profitability.
- Manage store budgets, monitor expenses, and maintain financial records.
- Oversee all cash handling procedures, including daily deposits and petty cash management.
- Hire, train, supervise, and motivate store staff.
- Create and manage schedules, oversee payroll, and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards.
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
- Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Support the receiving, pricing, and displaying of merchandise processes.
- Work with the buyer on stock replenishment as needed.
- Implement markdowns and promotions accurately and in line with policy.
- Prepare and share regular performance and sales reports with the store owner.
- Communicate effectively with staff and leadership to align on store goals and updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in operations and team performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: TBD based on experience
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
